ORGANIZATION
McKillip Seeds (Wabash, IN) is a family owned and operated seed business since 1936. McKillip Seeds currently raises, processes, and sells seed corn, beans and seed wheat. The farm produces enough commercial corn and bales enough straw to supply feed and bedding to its three farrow to finish hog operations.
OBJECTIVE
McKillip Seeds needed an advertising medium to stay current with its ever changing seed and seed attribute inventory. They also needed a way to display and compare research plot data from season to season. McKillip Seeds also has a number of sales promotions that change from year to year as well.
SOLUTION
A ColdFusion solution coupled with an Access database was implemented to display seed corn hybrids, bean varieties as well as research plot data and sales promotions. A content management system (CMS) was created to keep the seeds, plot data and promotion information current.
